The National Consumer Law Center will be holding a free webinar entitled Pass It On: Older Adults, Fraud, and the Federal Trade Commission on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM Eastern.

This webinar will discuss the FTC’s new consumer education campaign for active older people – Pass It On. The campaign is based on the idea that older adults – a huge group with life experience and social networks – are part of the solution, not simply the victims of scammers.

Legal Services CorporationThe Legal Services Corporation (LSC) is requesting session proposals for the 15th Annual Technology Initiative Grants (TIG) Conference in San Antonio, TX, January 14-16, 2015.

Proposals may explore new technology trends or showcase innovative projects to encourage replication. Submissions are due by Friday, August 29, 2014.

The Practising Law Institute will be holding a free webcast of a live presentation from San Francisco entitled Bankruptcy Basics for Low-Income Clients 2014 on September 10, 2014 from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm Eastern.

This program was designed for the practitioner, paralegal and legal assistant who is new to bankruptcy or new to the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005. It is a basic "How to File a Chapter 7" program.

A new webinar, entitled Online Intake:  the "Whats" and the "Whys" of Online Intake will be held on August 20, 2014 at 1:00 pm Eastern. This webinar is part of the LSNTAP/PBN Community Training Series conducted by the Legal Services National Technology Assistance Project and Pro Bono Net.

This webinar will review online intake, what it is, how it fits in the delivery of legal services continuum, and will share two models of how two different programs have implemented it.
